Hosting I Actually Like

I use these two companies for my websites, and I think they're both good deals. (NB: if they screw you over bigtime let me know and I will stop supporting them.)

Lunarpages
LP has a decent deal. $7 a month gets you: PHP/LAMP, Ruby on Rails, domain and something ridiculous like 350 gigs of storage and 3500 gigs of bandwidth. Decent tech support. Java, ASP support optional.

A2
The bad thing about Lunarpages is that they don't offer SSH access on shared hosting (boo!) So if you need a Rails host with SSH, consider A2's Small Business package for $8/month. Use coupon code a2hostmost to get 10% off.
